Dakota Johnson

Got to admit it, I agree with all those people who felt ‘concerned’ about the look the Fifty Shades Darker star wore to the Oscars. She seems to have picked up a golden Gucci dress from a different era. the wrinkled hem gives her outfit quite the divisive look. However, Dakota seemed comfortable even with the weird frontal piece and I think that should count for something.

Teresa Palmer
Teresa Palmer

I wonder what Teresa Palmer was thinking with that unappealing and mismatched belt. Everyone loves a silver dress, but the incoherence in her outlook just makes you want to reconsider.

Naomie Harris
Naomie Harris

Definitely too informal! I think the Moonlight actress could have done better. She obviously looks too modern for the red carpet. The midriff-baring dress (Calvin Klein) and the mismatched shoes definitely gave her quite the odd look.

Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett Johansson

The Ghost in the shell star lands on our worst dresses Oscar celeb list. And who can argue otherwise; the Alaia gown and the spiked belt were an obviously odd combination.

Charlize Theron

The atomic blonde star lands on our list of worst dressed this year. I don’t know how to put it; that gold Dior gown just didn’t fit. This was especially disappointing for me; I was counting on her usual flawless dress sense. But then again it’s the Oscars; anything can happen.

Michelle Williams

Guess she felt like taking a risk with her style this time. Well I’ve just got to say it out loud, the tumbling black-and-cream Louis Vuitton dress was an underwhelming choice for the Manchester by the Sea star.

Now here’s a list of those celebs that totally killed it at the red carpet:

Taraji P. Henson
2
The Hidden Figures star killed it like it was a movie audition, the Nirav Modi jewels she paired with the off-the-shoulder navy velvet Alberta Ferretti gown was apparently a great choice. She finished off the look with her black clutch and strappy heels.

Emma Stone
3
Lots of fans really fancied the La La Land star’s exquisite, custom-designed Givenchy Haute Couture dress, her accessories – platinum and Tiffany & Co 18k gold. She was truly glamorous with the bouncy curls and the bold red lip.

Auli’i Cravalho

Even though some may say she’s young and inexperienced she has proven to be in control of her wardrobe. The 16-year old actress looked like a real-life princess in her strapless white Rubin Singer dress paired with dazzling silver-and-gold jewelry. Mind if I add, this was her first ever Oscar appearance; we all look forward to seeing more of her in the years to come.

Hailee Steinfeld

She equally set off princess vibes with her Ralph & Russo couture gown embellished with a sheer overlay and metallic, pastel-colored flowerings. The diamond earrings and the dramatic smoky eye definitely worked. The Edge of Seventeen star is definitely on my top-3 best dressed celebs for the 2017 Oscars.

Emma Roberts
Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts is a classic beauty and she proved no less at the 2017 Oscars. She astonished everyone with the way she rocked the spaghetti strap Armani Privé number. The two-tiered skirt and the cream crystal embellishment definitely worked for her. She was simply stunning.

Ruth Negga
Ruth Negga

Ruth Negga was noted not only for her punctuality to the red carpet, the Valentino gown, the Renaissance-style headband and ACLU ribbon gave her the perfect touch of elegance.
